Required Documents to Apply for Son / Daughter Residence Visa:
To facilitate a quick and successful application, please prepare the following documents:
Documents from the Sponsor (Parent):
- Sponsor’s Original Emirates ID
- Sponsor’s Emirates ID Copy, Residence Visa Copy, & Passport Copy
- Child’s Birth Certificate: Must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and officially translated into Arabic.
Sponsor’s Proof of Income/Profession (Choose ONE applicable option):
- If Sponsor is an Investor/Partner:
- Valid Trade License copy
- Memorandum of Association (MOA) copy
- Establishment Card copy
- (Note: A 3000 AED Security Deposit may be required for investor/partner sponsors.)
- If Sponsor is Employed in the Private Sector:
- Labour Contract with Ministry Stamp
- (Note: Minimum monthly salary required is AED 4,000 or above)
- If Sponsor is Employed in a Free Zone:
- Arabic Salary Certificate issued by the Free Zone Authority
- (Note: Minimum monthly salary required is AED 4,000 or above)
- If Sponsor is Employed in Govt./Semi-Govt. Sector:
- Arabic Salary Certificate issued by the Employer
- (Note: Minimum monthly salary required is AED 4,000 or above)
Documents from the Applicant (Son/Daughter):
- Applicant’s Passport Copy: Passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
- Applicant’s One Digital Photo: A recent, professional digital photo taken from a studio.
Important Conditions & Additional Documents:
- Sponsorship File Fee: An additional fee of AED 253.15 will be applied if the Sponsor does not have an active sponsorship file.
- Mother’s Visa Copy: This document is to be provided if specifically requested by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
- For Daughters Above 18: An Unmarried Letter from the sponsor is required.
- For Sons Above 18: A Study Letter of the applicant (confirming current enrollment) is required.
- If Mother is the Sponsor:
- NOC (No Objection Certificate) from Father: This must be certified by a Dubai Court.
- OR Father’s Death Certificate: If the father is deceased, the death certificate attested by MOFA is required.
- In Case of Divorce: An attested divorce certificate and official child custody documents are required.
- National ID Requirement: Applicants of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, & Iraq nationalities must provide their National ID (e.g., CNIC, Tazkira, etc.).
